ShelShocker, the story behind the name:
Dj Sheldon began noticing his musical talents at the young age of seven. He grew up listening to his grandparents as their fingers breezed across the family piano. Music played a major part in the family, from audio recording to singing and playing various instruments. Sheldon began piano lessons when he was eight years old. He would hear the instructor play the tune, then he would repeat it without looking at the book, impressing everyone with his ear for musical notes.
n school, he entered talent shows with his cousin James; he loved being in front of the crowd and his peers. By age twelve, he was playing music for family gatherings. He loved that his talent made people smile and dance; so much so, that he began dj'ing house parties for friends. When he realized that his talents were marketable, his urge to expand grew. After dj'ing house parties, he began dj'ing dances, cookouts and birthday parties. By the time he was twentyone, he was rocking the clubs, including his own night club, HighFive Entertainment.
It was a shocker to see such a young individual have so much ambition and passion for the industry of music. His friends gave him the nickname Shel the Shocker; "ShelShocker" is the name that stuck. At age thirtyone, he packed his bags and moved to Baltimore, MD to pursue better job opportunities and bigger music venues.
His passion continues. He is living his dreams and playing in big cities like Philidelphia, Baltimore, Washington DC, and Richmond VA. Today he is a 22-year music veteran, he owns his own Mobile Dj Company and tours the east coast. A small town country boy from Frankfort, KY accomplishing his dreams, now a city slicker with southern hospitality and a story to tell.
